Project Manager - Haas Group
About the role
Haas Group is a powerhouse of six companies and fourteen divisions with shops based in Topeka, Kansas, and five offices across three states. With over 700 employees and growing, we’re leaders in structural steel, precision machining, heavy equipment rentals, commercial doors and hardware, engineered railing and ladder systems, and powersports. This position is hired through Haas Group, with placement into one of our operating companies—HME, Topeka Foundry Commercial Door, Topeka Foundry & Iron Works, or Peak to Peak—based on your experience, strengths, and business needs.
As a Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind successful projects and exceptional customer service. You’ll lead projects from planning through completion, serve as the primary point of contact for customers, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from planning through completion while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the life of each project.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, purchasing, production, and field teams to keep projects on schedule.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, and overall project performance.
- Identify and resolve project challenges while minimizing risk and maintaining profitability.
- Facilitate project meetings and communicate updates clearly with customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and project records.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure successful project execution.
- Support a positive, team-oriented culture while delivering quality results.
Requirements
- Experience in project management, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Customer-focused with a proactive and professional attitude.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications preferred.
- General understanding of project budgeting and financial management preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software preferred.
