Project Manager - Gas Insulated Switchgear
About the role
Join Hitachi Energy as a Project Manager – Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) in Mount Pleasant, PA. Play a key role in delivering complex, high-value engineering projects that support a more sustainable and reliable energy future.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams, define guidelines, and allocate tasks across functions.
- Provide constructive performance feedback for assigned team members.
- Develop project plans covering scope, financials, scheduling, and risk.
- Ensure project execution follows Hitachi Energy processes and best practices.
- Track progress and optimize resources to meet milestones.
- Cooky coordination with internal partners and remote factories.
- Manage financials, including invoicing, cost control, and cash flow.
- Identify and act on project risks, opportunities, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience managing engineering or high-voltage equipment projects; GIS experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Demonstrated negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- PMP certification preferred; ability to travel up to 30%.
