About the role

Stantec's Lynnwood office is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead integrated design teams and interact with clients. The ideal candidate will apply electrical engineering principles and superior client service skills to deliver projects that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert leadership in project management and relationship skills, leading integrated design teams and their interactions with Stantec's clients.
  • Strategically evaluate opportunities and challenges and incorporate well-developed consulting and technical skills into each client interaction.
  • Apply technical and project management expertise while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established time frames and budgets.
  • Serve as a trainer, mentor, and resource to others.
  • Hold project team members accountable for deliverables and financial performance.
  • Nurture existing client relationships and proactively pursue opportunities for new business.
  • Provide client consultation, drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of Stantec's services.
  • Develop and deliver client presentations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthen skills.

Requirements

  • Successful history of collaboration and teaming with electrical contractors on Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes.
  • Understands and implements project management principles.
  • Able to manage clients, projects, fees, and teams to achieve budget, schedule, and deliverable objectives.
  • Able to integrate design elements with other disciplines.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and technology systems for the built environment.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare or commercial/workplace market sectors including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers operating within these markets.
  • Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Periodic travel may be required to meet engagement/client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of experience & education.
  • PE registration is preferred.

Skills

Successful candidates will possess strong collaboration and teaming skills with electrical contractors on Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects, as well as a deep understanding of construction processes and project management principles.

Pay and Schedule

Pay range: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00 annually. Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas.

Schedule: Full time.
