About the role

As a Project Manager, you will coordinate and deliver multiple simultaneous projects of small to medium complexity with financial impacts between $3M and $5M. You will have fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including billing, job cost reporting, and customer satisfaction. This role involves guiding technical or administrative staff, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the execution of project/program solution plans for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs.
  • Be responsible for delivery of results for respective process steps.
  • Guide technical or administrative staff and act as a functional process resource on projects or programs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement plan.
  • Perform an active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships.
  • Manage several projects of varying size and obtain PM@Siemens certification for C Projects ($2.5M).
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
  • Identify time-sensitive installation needs and manage the requisition of supplies and materials.
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, specifications, and contacts.
  • Track resources and project progress, documenting events that impact schedule, scope, or efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities and coordinate billing with the Accounting team and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with related industry experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • 1+ years of experience managing projects.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (preferred).
  • 3+ years of technical experience in HVAC controls, fire and life safety, or security access/CCTV industry (preferred).
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry (preferred).
  • Knowledgeable of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations (preferred).
  • NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
