Project Manager - Fire/ Life Safety Systems

About the role
The Project Manager facilitates the execution of project/program solution plans for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs, coordinating and delivering multiple, simultaneous projects of small to medium complexity with financial impacts between $100K and $2.5M.
Responsibilities
- Have fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Be responsible for delivery of results for respective process steps and guide technical or administrative staff.
- Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs and contribute to continuous improvement plans.
- Perform an active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships and manage several small projects.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
- Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
- Identify time-sensitive installation needs and manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
- Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
- Assist the Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
- Conduct orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts.
- Track resources and project progress, documenting events that impact the schedule, scope of work, or project efficiency.
- Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities and coordinate project-specific billing with the Accounting team and Operations Manager.
- Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
- Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development and complete project-specific close-out documentation.
- Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.
Requirements
- Associate degree.
- Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry.
- 1+ years of experience managing projects.
- NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).
- Knowledgeable of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations.
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
- 3+ years of technical experience in the fire and life safety industry.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $75,684 - $129,744 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
