This role supports our Portland, OR branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Portland, OR area.

About the role

As a Project Manager, you will facilitate the execution of project/program solution plans for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs. This role requires coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects considered small to medium in complexity with financial impact between $100K and $2.5M.

  • Have fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for delivery of results for respective process steps.
  • Guide technical or administrative staff.
  • Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement plans.
  • Perform an active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships.
  • Be responsible for several small projects.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
  • Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts.
  • Track resources and project progress.
  • Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate with Accounting team and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree.
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers onsite.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project or related project management/computer software system.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • 6+ months experience managing projects or related for Associate Project Manager Level and 1+ years of experience managing projects for Project Manager Level.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry.
  • NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Knowledgeable of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $56,335 - $117,994 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
