Project Manager / Estimator (Office Based)
Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for demolition and carpentry scopes.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope.
- Conduct site visits and job walk-throughs to validate conditions and identify risks.
- Develop proposals, budgets, and value engineering options for clients.
- Maintain and utilize historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Review contracts, schedules, and procurement needs.
- Cookordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to execute work effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, scope, and cost.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or related role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Solid understanding of building systems, construction methods, and sequencing.
- Prowen ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with construction software and tools (e.g., estimating software, project management platforms, Microsoft Office).
