Project Manager/Estimator

About the role

Tschiggfrie Excavating is a heavy and highway contractor in Eastern Iowa with over 60 years of experience delivering high-quality construction services specializing in concrete paving and structures, underground utilities, earthwork, and demolition. We are seeking an experienced project manager/estimator to manage and estimate construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects in the heavy/highway industry
• Estimate construction projects using strong knowledge of estimating principles, practices, and techniques
• Utilize construction bid and management software
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Collaborate with team members and maintain strong communication

Requirements

• Construction Management Degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
• 5 years of project management experience on projects in the heavy/highway industry (preferred)
• Proficiency in math and computing skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Dependability and a strong work ethic
• Problem-solving ability
