Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for miscellaneous metals projects
- Review bid documents, specifications, drawings, and project requirements
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop proposals and participate in contract negotiations
- Manage awarded projects from turnover through closeout
- Cook up detailing, fabrication schedules, procurement, and field installation activities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, architects, field teams, and vendors
- Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation
- Track project budgets, labor productivity, and schedule performance
- Lead project meetings and provide updates to internal leadership and clients
- Identify and manage project risks while driving schedule and financial performance
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Estimating, or a combined PM/Estimator role within miscellaneous metals, structural steel, architectural metals, specialty metals, or related construction trades
- Experience estimating and managing erection-focused scopes preferred
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Understanding of fabrication processes and field installation sequencing
- Experience with takeoff software, estimating platforms, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project financials
- Excellent communication, organization, and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and bid opportunities simultaneously
- Knowledge of AISC standards and industry best practices preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 DOE
