About the role
G.A. Johnson Construction is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position and a strong background in commercial construction, including projects such as schools, detention facilities, government buildings, office spaces, industrial facilities, and interior renovations.
Responsibilities
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Prepare detailed estimates and cost analyses
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on all projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction materials and systems
- Experience with project management software
- Understanding of contract law and bidding processes
