Project Manager Engineering (Public Works)
Responsibilities
- Client relations including attendance at client meetings and interaction with existing and new clients
- Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
- Design of public works infrastructure projects
- Aid in mentoring junior engineering staff
- Prepare plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
- Administer construction on public works infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
- 5+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients
- PE license strongly preferred
- Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs
- Extensive knowledge of regulations and requirements within Iowa
- Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities
Pay & Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $88,871 to $142,194 per year commensurate with experience.
Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.

About the Role
MSA is excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Manager Engineering at our Cedar Rapids, IA office. This position is on our Public Works Service line and works closely with a wide variety of Iowa municipal clients as a project manager for civil engineering projects. Projects may range from roads, utilities, water/sewer, site development, wastewater, and more. Flexible working arrangements are available for this position and it also is Flex Time eligible.
