Project Manager-Electrical

About the Role

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated electrical construction projects to ensure goals are achieved in a timely manner and within budget. This role involves managing budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, and project closeout while overseeing staff teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects.
• Initiate, review, and oversee project administration and documentation to avoid claims and protect RK Electrical and client interests.
• Ensure contract agreements are secured, reviewed, processed, and executed efficiently.
• Review, edit, finalize, and distribute project budgets.
• Conduct pre-construction turnover meetings for all assigned projects.
• Obtain and post required permits and/or licenses.
• Set up, monitor, and update project scheduling.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with purchasing agents to meet schedule and budget goals.
• Negotiate, prepare, process, and execute subcontract agreements.
• Oversee submittal review, processing, approvals, and maintain submittal logs.
• Develop, submit, and obtain approval of billing schedule of values.
• Maintain an overbilled cash position and request retention release bill-down/payments.
• Collect payments, progress billing, and retention receivables on or before due dates.
• Price, negotiate, and process change conditions and change orders.
• Ensure projects are properly staffed, including labor resource loading and productivity reviews.
• Oversee tools and rental equipment use, ensuring unused items are returned promptly.
• Manage overall financial performance of assigned projects, including cost control, forecasting, and monthly contract valuations.
• Review, approve, and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
• Attend monthly project management meetings and address questions about assigned projects.
• Conduct regularly scheduled project staff meetings.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, with a focus on safety and health.

Qualifications

• Expert in field with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree or college/university graduate, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Proven ability to manage autonomous individuals, managers, and diverse groups.
• High degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning and guiding extensive programs.
• Experience negotiating critical and controversial issues with top-level employees and officers.
• Role in company business strategy development and execution.

Pay

Salary range: $100,000–$120,000.
