Job Details
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information and ensure that bids are competitive.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project schedules and ensure that estimates are consistent with project requirements.
- Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients, including detailed cost breakdowns and other relevant information.
- Monitor and track project costs and ensure that they remain within budget.
- Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures when appropriate.
- Participate in project meetings and provide ongoing support to project teams as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project management for construction projects in the federal sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
