Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle management including project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Negotiate contracts with architects, vendors, contractors, and other workers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
- Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.
- Implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Resolve contract disputes and design problems that may arise during the construction process.
- Lead and manage project teams to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Prepare and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in project management and construction management.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and MS Office Suite.
Pay
$100,000 - $155,000 per year
