Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle management including project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Negotiate contracts with architects, vendors, contractors, and other workers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Resolve contract disputes and design problems that may arise during the construction process.
  • Lead and manage project teams to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Prepare and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, including clients and senior management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project management and construction management.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and MS Office Suite.

Pay

$100,000 - $155,000 per year
