About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Custom Home Builder Project Manager to manage all aspects of our Custom Homes Building projects once construction is underway. This role acts as the face of our company throughout the construction phase and involves comprehensive oversight—from budget management and change orders to site management and quality control. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and the design team, facilitating weekly meetings and ensuring seamless communication. Additionally, you will conduct quarterly project reviews covering budget, selection status, schedule, and open items.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project budgets, manage expenses, and handle all change orders in a timely manner.
  • Handle material and service procurement to ensure timely delivery and project continuity.
  • Supervise daily construction activities and conduct inspections to maintain quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, leading weekly meetings with clients and the design team to ensure alignment on project goals and schedules.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews on budget, schedule, and open items; maintain accurate project documentation and reports for the VP of Construction.
  • Manage project schedules using a Gantt chart tool; ensure compliance with building codes and coordinate inspections.
  • Collaborate with project managers, mentor junior staff, and foster a positive team environment.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in residential remodeling construction.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of budgets, change orders, and purchase orders.

Skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from construction to completion.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Detail-oriented with proficiency in project management tools.
  • Ability to visit and navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
