Location: Daytona Beach, FL. Projects are located throughout Volusia and Flagler counties.

About The Role

The Project Manager will oversee a manageable portfolio of approximately five to six custom homes at a time. You will take day-to-day ownership of each assigned home from the field start through closing, coordinating trade partners, inspections, materials, schedules, quality control, and client communication. This is a field-focused position without unnecessary layers of management. The office team handles selections and design coordination, allowing you to focus on safely and efficiently building exceptional custom homes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned custom homes from construction start through closing.
  • Maintain current project schedules and rolling two-week look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials, inspections, and construction sequencing.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes, selections, redlines, and approved change orders before work begins.
  • Inspect jobsites regularly for quality, safety, cleanliness, security, and code compliance.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, material delays, inspection risks, and field issues before they affect the client or closing date.
  • Hold trade partners accountable for workmanship, scheduling, safety, and completion requirements.
  • Meet with inspectors and document inspection results and corrective actions.
  • Keep clients informed and respond promptly to questions and project updates.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, photographs, schedules, and field documentation in Buildertrend.
  • Lead homeowner walkthroughs, punch-out, final inspections, and closeout activities.
  • Help reduce punch-list items, warranty callbacks, and preventable construction defects.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of construction operations or project management experience.
  • Custom or high-end residential construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, quality control, and jobsite safety.
  • Proven ability to manage construction schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, scopes, and construction documents.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with clients, inspectors, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital project documentation.
  • High school diploma required; some college or construction-related education preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly between local jobsites.

Pay and Benefits

Schedule
