About the role

Lead high-end custom residential projects from pre-construction through final completion, overseeing budgets, schedules, documentation, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. This role is ideal for an experienced residential construction professional who brings strong leadership, sound judgment, local building knowledge, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project execution across schedule, scope, budget, and overall quality goals
  • Lead weekly scheduling and progress meetings with internal team members and trade partners
  • Maintain daily logs, updates, and client communication records in BuilderTrend
  • Oversee change orders, RFIs, and project documentation with close attention to detail
  • Support accurate invoicing, cost control, and financial tracking throughout the life of each project
  • Communicate proactively with clients through weekly PSR (Project Status Report) meetings
  • Help drive strong client satisfaction, with a target average rating of 8/10 or higher
  • Enforce jobsite safety expectations, company standards, and internal operating procedures
  • Support team development, accountability, and alignment with company culture
  • Maintain complete and timely internal reporting, documentation, and CRM updates

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing luxury residential construction projects in the Bay Area
  • Strong knowledge of California building codes, permitting requirements, and inspection processes
  • Demonstrated success managing large, architect-led custom home projects
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience using BuilderTrend or similar construction management software
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable daily transportation to local job sites
  • Strong reputation for professionalism, integrity, and customer service
  • Must be based in the Bay Area or able to commute daily to Menlo Park-area job sites within a 10-mile radius

Pay

  • $130,000 to $170,000 annually, based on experience, plus realistic bonus potential of up to $20,000, totaling $190,000
  • Annual performance bonus tied to profit goals, customer satisfaction, and administrative compliance
