ARCO/Murray is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team in Nashville. As part of the ARCO Family of Construction Companies, you’ll drive project success from day one in an award-winning, design-build organization.

About the role

You will lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring performance, profit, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budgets.
  • Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Investigate opportunities to procure materials or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to develop subcontractor scopes, project schedules, and site logistics plans.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings to address constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
  • Organize and manage multiple activities to achieve desired results.
  • Track project performance vs. budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
  • Ensure the construction process is fun for clients, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining quality and safety.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
  • Previous experience leading ground-up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
