Project Manager, Commercial Operations - Battery Energy Storage

About the role

Build Projects. Strengthen Operations. Help Scale a Growing BESS Company. Our client is a growing battery energy storage equipment, financing and solutions provider supporting commercial, industrial and utility-scale projects across the United States. They are looking for a highly organized, execution-focused Project Manager to keep multiple BESS projects moving from signed contract through equipment ordering, logistics, delivery and commissioning support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, solving problems and ensuring that important details do not fall through the cracks.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple battery storage projects from commercial handoff through delivery and commissioning coordination
• Build project plans, establish milestones and keep customers, suppliers and internal teams accountable
• Coordinate battery, inverter and energy-management system suppliers
• Track equipment orders, manufacturing schedules, freight, warehousing and delivery
• Maintain accurate project, contract, invoicing and payment records
• Identify missing information, schedule risks and potential delays before they affect delivery
• Communicate proactively with customers, EPCs, suppliers, engineers and logistics partners
• Improve operational processes, trackers, templates and automated workflows
• Work directly with the Managing Partner and Director of Operations on company priorities

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in project management, commercial operations, project delivery or a related role
• Professional experience with battery energy storage systems
• Experience coordinating equipment, procurement, logistics, engineering or commissioning activities
• A track record of managing multiple projects with external customers, suppliers and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail across contracts, invoices, schedules and project documentation
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication
• Comfort working independently within a small, entrepreneurial company
• Ability to work onsite in Sausalito 1–2 days per week
• Experience with Notion, HubSpot, Google Workspace, workflow automation, AI tools, supply-chain coordination, tariffs, FEOC compliance or utility interconnection is an asset.

Pay

• $100,000–$120,000 base salary
