Project Manager - Commercial / K-12 Construction - Charlotte

About the Company

Our client is a top 400 ENR contractor based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a strong footprint in the Carolinas over the past 40 years. They specialize in commercial construction, including office spaces, healthcare facilities, industrial buildings, and education projects such as university classrooms, typically ranging from $20-45M. The company has won numerous awards and maintains excellent relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all necessary project resources from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget in a highly collaborative environment.
• Review plans, specifications, and client requirements.
• Manage personnel development, including communicating job expectations, enforcing policies and procedures, and coaching employees.
• Provide administrative guidance to Site Superintendents.
• Act as a strategic problem solver to add value to customer projects.
• Coordinate correspondence between the design and construction teams.
• Manage budget and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to the project budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field (strongly preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience with a general contractor.
• Experience with commercial construction projects preferred.
• Proficiency in applicable project management software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a team-oriented environment.

Pay

• Base salary up to $155K.
• Discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
• Vehicle or vehicle allowance provided.
