About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, motivated Project Manager to join our Madison, WI office. This role is ideal for someone with 10-15 years of experience managing construction projects, particularly within science and technology environments. You'll take the lead on assigned projects and teams while also playing an active role in pursuing, bidding, and negotiating new work.

Responsibilities

  • Leading project bidding and budgeting efforts in collaboration with estimators
  • Coordinating owner and architect/engineer contract documents with operations leadership and office staff
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules alongside operations leadership and field teams
  • Managing job cost controls and financial performance
  • Overseeing payment applications and ensuring compliance
  • Managing change documentation and the RFI process
  • Ensuring quality control standards are met throughout the project
  • Leading project close-out and commissioning activities

Qualifications

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus experience with construction management software
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and confident decision-making abilities
  • The ability to stay focused and effective in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, works well with others, and looks for ways to improve
  • A willingness to learn new tools and systems that help teams work smarter through lean practices
