Project Manager -- Clean Energy Consultant

About the role

Sargent & Lundy is a leading power industry engineering and consulting firm. This position involves leading and executing work related to power generation projects, including technical and financial due diligence, asset transaction support, and project development services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop consulting project execution plan to meet client needs
  • Review deliverables such as reports and studies
  • Lead project team by providing clear instruction including technical approaches
  • Manage hours and work performed to budget and scope
  • Develop staff expertise through training and mentoring
  • Prepare proposals for consulting project opportunities
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring a high quality standard is met
  • Occasional travel to visit project locations and client offices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or other relevant disciplines)
  • At least 15 years of experience in the power industry, including experience as an owner’s engineer, independent engineer, or design engineer
  • Experience managing teams of engineers
  • Technical knowledge in multiple power generation technologies (solar, battery energy storage, wind, and thermal)
  • Experience performing feasibility studies for power projects
  • Experience in long-term power supply and transmission planning projects
  • Experience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects
  • Experience with project contracts such as power purchase agreements, asset transfer agreements, and EPC contracts
  • Prior experience in a consulting role

Compensation

The total compensation package for eligible positions includes a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package. The compensation range for this position is $145,310.00 - $222,001.00. Individuals may also be eligible to participate in our yearly discretionary bonus.
