About the Role

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Project Manager to serve as a key liaison between supply chain, finance, industrial engineers, and leadership team within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the execution of CapEx projects, providing accurate and timely communication, and ensuring a high level of financial accountability to maintain project budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate supply chain, operations, and external contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environment, safety, and company standards.
  • Track project costs, approve invoices, and manage budget forecasting and reporting.
  • Support commissioning, startup, validation, and turnover activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, energy, food processing, chemical, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and capital budgeting processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Glovia) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, permitting, and contractor management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Work Environment

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA-compliant safety boots/shoes.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Remain stationary for long periods while operating a computer and other office machinery.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and operate office machinery.
  • Lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • On occasion, visit the shop, which is a non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles typically associated with metal fabrication shops.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
