Project Manager - Campus Planning & Capital Projects - Enterprise Physical Operations
Position Summary
The Enterprise Physical Operations, Infrastructure, Capital Programs & Real Estate (EPO) department at WashU provides integrated operational, infrastructure, planning, and facility services that support the university’s mission of excellence in education, research, patient care, and community engagement. EPO manages and supports 28 million gross square feet across 235+ buildings and associated infrastructure systems, encompassing academic, research, clinical, residential, administrative, and support facilities across the university’s campuses and operations. Our teams provide strategic leadership and operational expertise in facility management, infrastructure services, capital project delivery, real estate operations, planning, sustainability, engineering, maintenance, environmental services, public safety support, and enterprise operational services. EPO creates and maintains safe, innovative, efficient, mission-driven environments that support our students, faculty, staff, patients, researchers, and community partners.
Serving as the owner’s representative, Project Managers coordinate construction activities and designs, gather and refine project requirements, and maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle. They communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide guidance on architectural and building systems, and escalate or resolve issues to support successful project outcomes. As project complexity increases, they take on broader oversight, integrate input from campus partners, and recommend effective solutions that balance quality, schedule, and institutional goals.
About the Role
Project Managers support and lead facilities and capital projects from early planning through completion, ensuring alignment with departmental project delivery processes and institutional priorities. They work can include organizing and facilitating project meetings, monitoring budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and institutional standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
- No specific certification/professional license is required for this position.
- Architectural Design, Design/Build, Renovation, Space Planning, And/Or Construction Management (3 Years)
