About the role
This position oversees capital, non-capital, deferred maintenance, special repair, and departmental projects at Emory University. The role involves working closely with Campus Planners, University Architect, and project owners throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Manages and directs construction and non-capital projects
- Prepares technical, bidding, and contractual documents
- Establishes project budgets and costs and negotiates contracts and change orders
- Selects project consultants and contractors
- Affirms projects are completed within budget and project deliverables and documentation are submitted on time, accurately, and in compliance with University policies and practices
- Facilitates and coordinates design and construction efforts, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving between project owners, Facilities Management, construction teams, architects, designers, and other stakeholders
- Conducts post-project evaluations
- Supports department leadership in developing and implementing departmental guidelines, policies, procedures, programs, and services related to campus physical development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field and five years of experience in management of construction projects and/or program, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- A working knowledge of construction and federal, state, and local building codes
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities; excellent organizational and communication skills

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
