Project Manager (Austin)
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a Project Manager II to join the Data Analysis department. Located at 1117 Trinity St, Austin, TX, this position oversees procurement and contract projects impacting Texas families.
About the Role
The Project Manager II is responsible for managing moderately complex projects using project management methodologies. They coordinate with various stakeholders, review proposals and bids, monitor project quality, and communicate project methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and evaluate projects using accepted methodologies.
- Communicate project methodology and processes to interested groups and team members.
- Monitor and manage project quality to ensure deliverables meet project contracts or specifications.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and difficulties.
- Work on Child Care and Early Learning procurement and contract projects.
Requirements
- Three years of full-time experience in project management, business analysis, or project administration; or three years of full-time experience in program oversight or strategic planning.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied towards experience qualifications.
- Experience in technical writing, procurement processes, and contract development.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of project management theories and practices applicable to projects of moderate scope.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to project administration.
- Proficiency in computer operations and applicable software.
- Ability to demonstrate negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to make critical decisions.
