Project Manager, Audio Video and Smart Home Systems

About the role

This is a lead-from-the-front position where your field-installation experience will help technical teams perfect their installations. You’ll consult with sales, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure smooth project flow. As an experienced installation technician with intermediate/advanced programming skills, you’ll drive project completion by leading assigned technician resources.

Responsibilities

• Pre-wiring, trim-out, rigging, and installation services (A/V, security, surveillance, lighting, shading, etc.)
• Advanced hardware/software configuration, retrofitting, networking, and programming
• Creation of daily work reports and other tasks necessary to complete projects successfully
• Occasional weekend, evening, or overtime work
• Local travel with occasional overnight commitments

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Savant, Control4, Lutron, and Crestron control systems
• Six or more years of experience in the installation, integration, programming, and support of audio/visual systems hardware, software, and technical infrastructure
• Experience with streaming technology and construction environments
• Familiarity with large A/V projects and low-voltage integrations
• Solid understanding of home network and control configurations, including troubleshooting
• High School Diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle report

• Ability to lead and supervise a team to complete AV designs effectively and efficiently
• Highly organized with strong time and resource management
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and creative thinking
• Deep understanding of Google Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Design certifications for networking and/or applicable control systems (Control4, Savant, Crestron, Lutron)
• CEDIA certifications and/or coursework in audio/visual systems installation (Level I and II required)
• Technical certification for networking and/or applicable control systems (Control4, Savant, Crestron, Lutron)
• InfoComm certifications and/or coursework in audio/visual systems installation
