About the role
ProShip, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our Integration Team, a customer-facing, revenue-generating department that bills work on a time and materials basis. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys direct customer interaction, and is excited to contribute to a rapidly growing organization.
The ideal candidate will be based in Brookfield, WI, but remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer goals, communicating expectations clearly, and addressing stakeholder concerns.
- Lead regular customer-facing meetings, providing updates, risk assessments, and solution guidance.
- Manage multiple integration projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects remain within defined scope, budget, and time and materials billing structure.
- Evaluate business requirements and user needs; create detailed project plans that include scope, timelines, dependencies, and milestones.
- Facilitate stakeholder sign-off at all required phases.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and negotiate scope changes while balancing customer expectations and departmental capacity.
- Ensure all time and materials work is accurately tracked, documented, and communicated to customers.
- Develop clear user interface guides, functional specification documents, use cases, release notes, and decision logs.
- Coordinate internal and customer QA and UAT activities, ensuring all functionality is validated, issues are documented, and sign-offs are obtained.
- Conduct post-project reviews and share results internally to drive continuous improvement.
- Support ongoing customer engagement and handoff to long-term support teams.
- Work closely with Professional Services leadership and Software Engineers to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs and ProShip standards.
- Foster a collaborative, positive project culture.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of Project Management experience, ideally in a software integration or development environment.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst preferred.
- Strong project leadership experience managing internal and external resources.
- Experience managing customer relationships in a time and materials billing structure.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the logistics or shipping industry is a plus.
- PMP certification is a plus.
