Project Manager

This Project Manager role is hybrid and based in Webster, Tx, reporting to the VP of Project & Mission Management within the Program Management department. The position is responsible for planning and executing projects from concept to completion, ensuring all phases are managed effectively while developing customer relationships, coordinating with technical teams, and providing comprehensive project reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee project scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide detailed status reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Manage scope creep and change requests
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive desired outcomes
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships
- Support comprehensive project proposals
- Oversee external supplier relationships
- Capture lessons learned to foster continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, chemical engineering, physics, materials science, computer science/engineering, mathematics, or business
- Master’s degree in a related field with equivalent experience preferred
- 1-3 years of experience leading projects across full project lifecycles
- Experience with common project management frameworks, tools, and software
- Strong cross-functional team leadership and people management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams including technical and project management staff, defining tasks, schedules, and levels of effort
- Ability to follow company-defined project management processes and best practices
- Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (as required)
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP credential strongly preferred
- Experience working with government and commercial aerospace customers; familiarity with launch vehicles and/or payload development preferred
Travel & Physical Requirements
- Travel up to 30%
- Sedentary work; ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
