Project Manager

About the role

The incumbent reports to the Director of Marketing and Enrollment, overseeing the Outreach, Customer Support, and Business Intelligence departments at UC Scout. Responsibilities include project planning, analysis, department support, communications, and infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• 60% - Project Planning: Project management for UC Scout projects, including system integration and vendor coordination.
• 15% - Project Analysis: Analyzes project-related issues, identifies root causes, and recommends strategic adjustments.
• 10% - Department Support: Implements project management processes for Customer Support, Outreach, and Business Intelligence.
• 10% - Project Communications: Manages internal and external project communications.
• 5% - Project Management Infrastructure: Designs, implements, and maintains project management systems and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in a marketing, enrollment, outreach, or student services environment.
• Ability to anticipate risks, prioritize effectively, and solve complex problems.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in translating complex project information into clear guidance for diverse audiences.
• Growth mindset towards emerging technologies, with experience or willingness to explore AI-powered tools.
• Strong organizational, tracking, and planning skills.
• Experience working within a student-facing academic program, enrollment, or curriculum delivery organization.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing strategic priorities and operational demands.
• Experience establishing or improving project governance systems, workflows, or intake processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects in a marketing, enrollment, outreach, or student services environment.
• Ability to anticipate risks, prioritize effectively, and solve complex problems.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in translating complex project information into clear guidance for diverse audiences.

Skills

• Project management certification preferred.
• Experience with project management tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, Airtable, Confluence.
• Experience with AI tools and their application in project management.

Benefits

Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience. Full benefits package available.

Pay

Budgeted Salary: $90,000 - $120,000/year. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Fixed Percentage of Time: 100%, 40 Hours per Week. Days of the Week: Mon-Fri. Shift Includes: Day.
