Trueline's client, a growing custom home builder specializing in beautiful lakefront homes, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Newport, KY. This is a client-facing opportunity for an experienced residential construction professional who understands how custom homes come together and can keep homeowners, vendors, purchasing, and internal teams aligned throughout the process.The right person is equal parts construction professional and people person - organized, responsive, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing the expectations that come with building highly customized $800K-$2M homes.What You'll Do as the Project Manager - Custom Residential Construction:Manage the day-to-day coordination of custom residential projects from the officeServe as a key point of contact for homeowners throughout the construction processKeep clients informed on project progress, selections, decisions, changes, and next stepsManage homeowner expectations while providing a high level of responsiveness and customer serviceCoordinate with the construction team, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal staff to keep projects movingTrack project schedules, selections, purchases, materials, and outstanding decisionsCoordinate custom finishes, colors, materials, fixtures, and other homeowner selectionsHelp ensure client selections and project information are communicated accurately to the appropriate teamsOversee purchasing and order procurement associated with active projectsManage and support a team member responsible for procurementAnticipate project or client issues and work proactively to resolve themMaintain organized project records and ensure important details do not fall through the cracksCommunicate changes, delays, material issues, and other project developments clearly and professionallyHelp improve project management and client communication processes as the company continues to growMust-Haves as the Project Manager - Custom Residential Construction:Residential construction experienceStrong understanding of the homebuilding processProject Management, Construction Management, or comparable project coordination experienceStrong client-facing and customer service skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilityAbility to manage homeowner expectations throughout a complex construction processStrong organization and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and moving parts simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership when issues ariseAbility to work effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal construction teamsAbility to work full-time from the company's Newport, KY officeNice-to-Haves as the Project Manager - Custom Residential Construction:Custom home building experienceHigh-end or luxury residential construction experienceExperience supporting homes in the $800K-$2M+ rangeExperience managing homeowner selections and finish decisionsPurchasing or procurement experienceExperience managing or mentoring another team memberSales-oriented or consultative client communication skillsExperience working for a smaller custom builder where Project Managers wear multiple hatsOur Client Offers:Base salary of $80,000-$100,000, depending on experienceBonus opportunityCompany credit card or reimbursement for approved business expensesOpportunity to manage highly customized residential projects typically ranging from $800K-$2MPortfolio of approximately 15-20 homes annuallyStable, full-time opportunity with a growing custom home builderHighly visible role with meaningful client interaction and project ownershipOpportunity to supervise and develop a procurement team memberSmall-team environment where strong performers can take on increasing responsibility as the company growsPlease note that employer-sponsored health insurance is not currently offeredTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
