Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and construction of facilities related to the justice and correction industries.
  • Assist Senior Managers in leading the project team, goal setting, developing policies and procedures to guide the project/program, and mentoring team members.
  • Manage staff, project financials, and schedules.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives with demanding resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards.
  • Define and assign project responsibilities to the Assistant Project Manager and Team.
  • Mentor team members to grow skill sets and foster a high-performing project team.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and develop project financials, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates, as well as review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
  • Forecast, identify, and address areas of potential liabilities and risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships.
  • Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential concerns, and persuade others to adopt positions to facilitate the successful conclusion of the project.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large scale capital projects. Justice or Jail experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally.
  • Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
  • Knowledge and ability to supervise people including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development.
  • High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications.
  • Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Understanding of the unique needs of the judiciary and correctional facility construction projects.

Skills

Pay

Compensation Range: $143,435.23 - $163,925.98
