Project Manager

About the role

Manages all aspects of small to medium complex projects from inception to conclusion.

Responsibilities

• Manages overall project execution.
• Manages complete project oversight.
• Covers project kick-offs.
• Coordinates, manages, and directs project kick-offs.
• Reviews contracts.
• Coordinates the reviews and comments on the scope of work, contract, specifications, and supplementary client documentation.
• Generates and obtains management approval of an execution plan.
• Maintains and updates project schedules to ensure milestones are met.
• Collaborates with other departments to resolve issues that arise during the project life cycle.
• Safeguards and/or documents and other client deliverables are submitted in a timely manner.
• Coordinates between internal resources, clients, vendors, sub-contractors, contractors, and technicians throughout execution.
• Directs fabrication, installation, and start-up issues throughout execution.
• Coordinates and directs in-progress inspections at fabrication shop.
• Calculates building costs to generate change orders and provides backup documentation.
• Creates and maintains a detailed cash flow and man-hours usage to ensure the project stays on budget.
• Creates reports and projections for various levels within the organization.
• Completes project closeout (i.e., punch list items, client final acceptance, etc.).
• Manages warranty requests by generating and executing a corrective action plan.
• Manages overall project leadership and decision-making (through proper channels).
• Manages QF-8.2.3.5 Contract Handover Checklist.
• Manages all NPI gate-1 requirements are fully satisfied.
• Attends/participates in NPI gate reviews.
• Manages and coordinates customer communication.
• Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

  Requirements

  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or management related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of international experience in project and / or construction management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise resource planning.
  • Master’s degree in construction, engineering, or management related discipline preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in the power, oil & gas, data center and / or district energy industries preferred.
  • Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent preferred.

      Schedule

      Full-time position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
