Project Manager
About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for assuming overall responsibility for assigned projects and coordinating the activities of the assigned project team including all changes of scope for ongoing projects. The role is accountable for revenue recognition, timely and accurate invoicing, and for eliminating disputes/past dues. The Project Manager reports progress on projects to all project stakeholders, internal and external. He/She oversees interaction with key suppliers and the ordering of materials for the project.
Responsibilities
- Identify, manage and control project risks to minimize exposure while meeting client needs and project budget.
- Oversee interaction with key suppliers and the ordering of materials for the project.
- Ensure there is a clear understanding of the project Commercial and Technical requirements by the project team and all stakeholders (including but not limited to scope, contract, technical aspects, schedule, quality, financial status, disputes, change orders, supplier/subcontractor management).
- Ensure QHSE standards are fulfilled during project execution, and continuously review and improve project management processes and procedures in order to improve quality, cost, effectiveness, and work efficiency.
- Able to travel to customer offices or project sites if warranted.
- Execute project management tasks following processes and procedures defined in company's QMS.
- Ensure project is delivered on time and on budget.
- Lead project team activities in the engineering, procurement, logistics, installation & commissioning, contracts, finance and track actions/communications and follow up on all aspects of the project.
- Understand technical aspects of the project scope.
- Ensure contractual compliance, able to understand and follow the contract.
- Track communications and events with the client and suppliers.
- Adhere to PM standards and business conduct guidelines (Tax regulations, export control, EHS).
- Support sales, engineering and service needs as required.
- Apply professional knowledge of EPC project delivery methods including, expert working knowledge and understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement) with a good knowledge of Energy Storage Solutions.
- Apply strong leadership, motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations, with ability to negotiate and manage confrontation topics.
- Sustain safety in the project.
- Continuous Learning - continuously learn and adapt to new projects and scopes, new company products, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or higher degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in Project management.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical development lead.
- Specific Knowledge of Lio-ion Technology, Battery Management Systems, Leadership.
- Business Understanding Energy Storage Systems, battery market, utilities, renewable power.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, or higher degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in Project management.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical development lead.
- Specific Knowledge of Lio-ion Technology, Battery Management Systems, Leadership.
