About the role
The Project Manager works with the sales team, account managers, and clients to facilitate program execution from conception through delivery. The primary focus of this role is customer service, communicating directly with the customer (internal or external) on a daily basis regarding order needs and other essential information necessary for success.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with sales, client, and plant operations for back-end execution, including tracking of purchased materials, inventory status, and sales order entry if necessary.
- Provides Client Services with all necessary documents to create manufacturing production specifications and submits them through clients’ systems or to contract fulfillment partners.
- Maintains relationships with supply partners for sourcing of materials.
- Handles customer reporting as required or other inventory-related requests.
- Maintains and handles all client job files in an appropriate manner.
- Participates in customer tracker meetings/calls and responds to any unforeseen customer needs.
- Facilitates all required design approvals from the customer with the Account Manager.
- Ensures BOM completion and pricing accuracy.
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts, including cost-saving ideas.
- Provides backup support to other project managers, including training new personnel.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, with flexibility to assume other roles when work schedules necessitate staff movement.
Qualifications
- Fundamental computer skills.
- Background in display and packaging.
- Milestone management capabilities coupled with a holistic thinking approach enabling proactive decision-making.
- Proven ability to adapt and solve problems when obstacles, scheduling, or otherwise, present themselves.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organization, including direct customer communication.
- Ability to deliver professional communication, including bad news, and show initiative in providing possible solutions for the customer to consider.
Work Environment
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Minimal travel to plant sites or customer meetings may be required.
