Project Manager - Heavy Civil / Public UtilitiesLocation: Salt Lake City, Utah Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 DOE + Benefits Industry: Heavy Civil * Public Utilities * Excavation * Underground InfrastructureA well-respected heavy civil contractor in the Salt Lake City area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of public utility and infrastructure work. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction-focused PM who enjoys managing projects from award through closeout while working closely with field operations. Position Overview The Project Manager will oversee a mix of public utility and heavy civil projects throughout northern Utah. Depending on project size, the successful candidate will manage 1-3 projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from award through completionDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecastsCoordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and ownersOversee procurement, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersMonitor cost performance and project profitabilityMaintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsSupport project planning, scheduling, and resource allocationEnsure compliance with contract requirements and company standards Qualifications 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project managementStrong background in: Public utilities (water, sewer, storm drain)Excavation and earthworkMunicipal and civil infrastructure projectsExperience managing multiple projects at one timeStrong understanding of construction means and methodsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills What's Offered $120K-$140K base salary DOEComprehensive benefits packageStrong pipeline of work throughout the Salt Lake City marketGrowth opportunities into senior leadership rolesCollaborative, field-oriented cultureThis role is ideal for someone looking to join a growing contractor and play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure projects throughout the region.
