Project Manager

About the role
LMCU is looking for a Project Manager who will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives across the credit union. The role will involve supporting cross-functional projects that align with key organizational priorities such as digital transformation, core system modernization, and regulatory compliance. The position will be responsible for leading medium to large-scale projects, all of which are designed to enhance operational efficiency, adaptability, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage medium to large-scale projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with business units, technology teams, and senior leaders to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure adoption of agile practices across teams.
- Champion continuous improvement and agile mindset across the organization.
- Support change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and sustained adoption.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulatory requirements, and enterprise standards.

Requirements
- Three or more years of project management experience, preferably in financial services or credit union environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, finance, technology, or related field of study.
- Agile certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master) are preferred.
- Understanding of enterprise agility principles and frameworks, with experience supporting enterprise-level projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Jira, ServiceNow SPM, Miro, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with budgeting, procurement, and contract management.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build trust, influence others, and navigate sensitive or confidential matters with professionalism and diplomacy.
