Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire life cycle of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting to project execution and closing.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively manage and report on the project Profit and Loss (P&L), ensuring the financial performance aligns with the company's goals.
- Lead the procurement process, ensuring all materials and services are secured in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Prepare and review project submittals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain rigorous cost control measures, ensuring the project stays within the budget.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reviews to senior management.
- Congduct negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure advantageous terms.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within the Construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing commercial and/or industrial projects with an emphasis on concrete.
- Experience in government projects will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent project planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient in project tracking, budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
- Familiarity with Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts.
- Strong knowledge of construction procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
- PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
