Project Manager

Integrion Automation (formerly Wauseon Machine) is seeking a full-time, on-site Project Manager at their Wauseon, Ohio plant.

About the Role

The Project Manager leads automation projects from order receipt through project closeout, ensuring customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, profitability, quality, and cash flow. As the primary point of contact for the customer, you will coordinate all internal departments and suppliers to achieve successful project execution. Accountabilities include project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, commercial performance, and overall project results.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of communication to the customer from project kick-off through Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for assigned projects.
• Lead and mentor the project team through the phase gate process, including kickoff, definition and confirmation of project requirements, schedule development and management, scope and change management, risk identification, cost management, open issues management, compliance assurance, and both Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasting.
• Share and implement best practices, including advancing project management process maturity, applying lessons learned, and driving continuous improvement.
• Track and maintain project labor and material budgets, taking corrective actions to deliver key project deliverables on time and within budget.
• Negotiate all scope changes fairly and equitably while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Plan and lead difficult negotiations to successful terms with customers when required.
• Use Root Cause Analysis to identify problems and implement corrective actions.
• Clearly communicate the status and health of projects both internally (weekly) and externally.
• Proactively identify risks and mitigations, issues, and drive timely resolution.
• Coordinate and continuously monitor and control schedules, budgets, and quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Exhibit strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal and leadership skills to build loyalty, trust, and commitments from key customer contacts involved in decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant project management experience within construction, industrial automation, or other project-based business for external customers.
• Prior demonstrated success in developing, managing, and reporting on communication, schedules, budgets, scope, and resources.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and managing multiple large, complex projects simultaneously.
• High mechanical aptitude (highly preferred).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to adopt company systems, processes, and tools.
• Proficiency with MS Project or other similar project management scheduling and resource management software.
• Willingness to travel to meet with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
