This position is located in San Antonio, TX and is an onsite role supporting the 616th Operations Center (616 OC) and 616th Air Communications Squadron (ACOMS) with short and long-term IT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects.
  • Manages a project team comprised of multidisciplinary staff.
  • Reviews, manages, and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with team members and line managers.
  • Manages the direction of a project through design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
  • Defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
  • Supervises professional and technical support personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
  • Schedules tasks and coordinates with various team members to accomplish results.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or contracts.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports using tools such as MS Project, Excel, or ServiceNow.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief senior government and contract leadership.
  • Proven expertise in strategic military personnel management with the ability to optimize team dynamics and address performance gaps.
  • Strong competencies in tactical project execution, SOP development, resource allocation, lifecycle management, continuity building, and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to swiftly assess current workflows and implement efficiencies within established project frameworks.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition process and lifecycle management.

Pay

Posted salary range: USD $125,000.00 – USD $135,000.00 per year.
