Role Summary
This position involves managing large and complex technical infrastructure projects within a professional or managed services environment. The role requires overseeing multiple work streams, ensuring project scope, timeline, and budget adherence, and facilitating effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of multiple complex technical infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with clear interdependencies and critical paths.
- Create and implement effective internal and external communication strategies for stakeholders and management.
- Monitor project progress; provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and stakeholders.
- Manage resource plans, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization across various projects.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to improve efficiencies and drive project success.
- Implement engagement review procedures and quality assurance processes aligned with company methodologies.
- Proactively manage scope changes, risks, and issues to minimize impact on project delivery.
- Oversee project financials, including profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and resource utilization, ensuring projects stay within budget and meet financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager overseeing complex projects.
- Proven experience managing external, customer-facing projects in a professional services or managed services setting.
- Strong background in Networking, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, Security, or Collaboration (Unified Communications).
- Experience with multisite deployments such as Wireless, Wi-Fi, POS systems, etc.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, including theoretical and practical applications.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of financial management processes, including analyzing financial reports, preferably within Clarity.
- Extensive experience in people management, strategic planning, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with leadership and clients, with proven risk management skills.
- Expertise in stakeholder analysis and management.
- Ability to work independently while effectively tracking and managing project timelines.
- Excellent documentation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and lead teams.
- Proficiency in using project management software tools.
Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $50.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
