Project Manager

About the Role

Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Project Manager to work within our Technology & Innovation department in our Minneapolis office. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to leading teams through multiple, concurrent projects, with the goal of ensuring accomplishment of strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned projects and programs using defined project management methodologies, standards and processes, including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and Kanban, as appropriate, throughout the project lifecycle
• Creates, maintains and continually updates comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, decisions, risks, issues, dependencies and closure materials
• Develops budgets, work estimates, charters and detailed planning documents for all phases of assigned project
• Demonstrates urgency, accountability and follow-through in coordinating project activities and responding to deadlines
• Serves as a liaison between leadership and project execution teams to support alignment, transparency and timely decision-making
• Special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and diplomacy skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment (e.g., via phone, web/videoconference)
• Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment
• Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in taking initiative while asking for direction or clarification and consulting others, as appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, project management or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Minimum of five years of progressive project management experience, including responsibility for planning, managing and delivering complex projects
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities, deadlines and stakeholder needs
• Experience managing complex technology projects, including project planning, documentation, risk tracking, issue resolution, testing, deployment and closure
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage timelines, escalate risks, resolve issues and support critical path deliverables
• Experience managing third-party software vendors and vendor implementation resources throughout the project lifecycle

Pay

The anticipated initial annual salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $125,000.00. Actual initial salary may be above or below this range and will be based on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role, and the salary range is one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package, which also includes a discretionary bonus, life, health, accident, and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
