About the role

Responsible for the project administration of all current and/or future installations of Fire and/or Security, CCTV, Card Access, and other specialty systems. Coordination with the respective management team is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee proper documentation between the contracts administrator and sales representative to meet engineering requirements.
  • Supervise documentation of project site visits, telephone communications, request for information, letter of transmittals, permits, application fees, and final closeout requirements.
  • Ensure required safety programs are implemented to prevent employee injury and maintain project compliance.
  • Execute monthly manpower backlog reports to assist with proper manpower loading for customer satisfaction and gross profit margin improvement.
  • Implement change orders on projects to achieve significant gross profit.
  • Participate in meetings with contracts administration, field supervision, and engineering departments to review ongoing projects.
  • Assist with construction schedule requirements to complete installation and final certification testing as agreed with the customer.
  • Update project log with estimated start/completion dates, total man hours, submittal/drawing approval dates, and system types.
  • Provide in-house estimating and proposals for existing customers and new projects.

Requirements

  • Industry, security/fire, and project management experience.
  • Technically inclined, computer literate, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or similar), Word, and Excel.
  • Past experience in the construction field or knowledge of the fire alarm/security industry is highly encouraged.
  • Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Local and National Fire alarm systems; inspections experience or certifications (e.g., Regulation No. 4, EST3, NICET, PMP, State Certification) are a plus.
  • Ability to handle physical activity in the construction field, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Excellent work habits, including willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or Associate degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; background and drug test required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, materials, policies, and procedures in English.

Pay

The budgeted pay range for this role is $52,921–$105,842 yearly, based on tenure, experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic considerations.
