Duties
- Responsible for the project administration of all current and/or future installations of Fire and/or Security, CCTV, Card Access & other specialty systems where needed.
- Coordinate with the respective management team for project administration.
- Oversee the proper documentation execution between the contracts administrator and sales representative to effectively consummate engineering requirements.
- Supervise the requirement for proper documentation of project site visits, telephone communications, request for information, letter of transmittals, permits and applications fees, and final closeout requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of required safety programs to prevent unnecessary injury to employees and ensure compliance on given projects.
- Execute manpower backlog reports on a monthly basis to assist with proper manpower loading requirements.
- Implement required change orders on projects to achieve significant gross profit.
- Participate in meetings with contracts administration, field supervision, and engineering departments to review ongoing projects.
- Aid in the construction schedule requirements to ensure timely installation and final certification testing.
- Update project log with estimated start dates, completion dates, total man hours, date of submittal/drawing approval, and type of system being installed.
- Provide in-house estimating and proposals as needed for existing customers and new projects.
Requirements
- Industry, security/fire, and project management experience.
- Technically inclined, computer literate, strong written and verbal communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, dependable, willing to work under little or no supervision, and demonstrates job stability and eagerness to learn.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or similar), Word, and Excel.
- Past experience in construction field and/or knowledge of the fire alarm/security industry are highly encouraged.
- Troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Local and National Fire alarm systems and inspections experience, and/or certifications in: Regulation No. 4, EST3, NICET, PMP, State Certification are a plus.
- Able to handle all general physical activity that comes from working in the construction field, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent work habits, willingness to work necessary hours, especially during periods of greater departmental pressure due to important deadlines.
- High school/Associates degree.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, subject to background and drug tests.
- Ability to read and interpret applicable documents, materials, policies, procedures, etc., as presented in English.
Pay and Benefits
The budgeted pay range for this role as of November 2024 is $52,921 - $105,842 annually. This range is based on multiple factors including tenure, previous experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic considerations.
