About the Role

The Client Project Manager leads and guides the execution of all activities related to overall contract execution, including cost control, scheduling, engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, field construction (if applicable), and scope changes from project award through field commissioning for targeted clients. This role ensures compliance with company standards, the project proposal, and clients’ specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all engineering, manufacturing, and field construction concerns, questions, or comments.
  • Develop and build customer relationships between Enerflex and key clients.
  • Initiate internal and external meetings as required.
  • Participate in customer meetings, including kickoff meetings, P&ID, Hazop, and design reviews.
  • Address technical and project execution questions and problems.
  • Coordinate and supervise all activities related to project execution, including engineering, material requisition/expediting, schedule preparation, cost control, delivery/shipping, and quality.
  • Maintain a feedback loop between all parts of the value stream.
  • Initiate internal meetings focused on scheduling, feedback, lessons learned, costings, availability, and standardization.
  • Continuously work on improvements (cost, functionality, scheduling, etc.) for client products and communicate changes to all parts of the Enerflex value stream.
  • Advise management on client relations and issues.
  • Resolve issues impacting schedule, design, commissioning, and/or warranty for projects.
  • Travel to site locations to solicit feedback on scope, quality, commissioning/start-up concerns, operability, cost savings, and product support.
  • Manage all technical, commercial, contractual, and fabrication requirements from project initiation to closeout in accordance with Enerflex internal processes and the project execution plan.
  • Organize the work and project team within company standards.
  • Concurrently manage multiple client projects.
  • Prepare progress reports, manage performance and progress against the plan, and ensure accurate forecasts with action plans.
  • Protect margin due to scope change; monitor and control project costs using change order management.
  • Validate and oversee project schedule timelines.
  • Demonstrate strong scope control and change management skills.
  • Understand the financial goals of the project and apply cost control tools and procedures.
  • Support the project team in negotiations with major suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, consultants, and others.
  • Demonstrate consistency and clear judgment in addressing unexpected problems or opportunities.
  • Uphold integrity and company core values.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental codes and standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering preferred).
  • Working knowledge of reciprocating compression packages.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong self-starter skills with the ability to perform successfully with limited supervision.
  • Versatile team-building skills and ability to coordinate multifunctional teams.
  • Solid computer, software, and program skills.
  • Strong design experience and thorough knowledge of codes and safety legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely in a team environment with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable dealing with customers, fabrication, and management teams in the USA and international markets.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • EPC project experience along with exposure to fabrication facilities is required.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, aptitude for innovation, and long-term career interests.

Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced general office environment.
  • Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
  • Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion (<15%).
