Project Manager

About the role

Dashiell is a leading national provider of technical services to the electric utility, power generation, industrial, renewable and energy industries. These services include planning and systems studies, design and engineering, maintenance and testing, program management, construction, and turnkey EPC projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for the development, planning, execution, and monitoring of projects focused on the turnkey construction of high voltage electrical substations, transmission lines and distribution lines. The job location is 11501 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78758.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the cost, schedule, safety, quality and completion of construction projects
• Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a project
• Manage multiple project teams
• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of cash flows, monthly billing, preparing and obtaining change orders for assigned projects
• Resolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts and delays as required to meet project construction goals
• Travel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil Engineering, or equivalent is required. Professional Registration is preferred. 10 years experience in the design, construction, or operations of substations and/or transmission lines is required. 10 years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is strongly preferred.

• Experience with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Communicating effectively with co-workers
• Willing to travel to project sites as necessary

Physical Requirements

This position requires minimal physical effort. Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise. Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%). Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically. May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
