Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for healthcare construction and renovation projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop, maintain and drive project schedules and budgets; identify and manage risks, change orders and cost control measures.
- Cookordination with architects, engineers, clinical leaders, facilities, infection control and vendor teams to ensure clinical workflows and regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage contractor selection, procurement activities and on-site construction supervision; enforce quality control and safety protocols.
- Prepare and present project status reports, forecasts and executive updates to stakeholders and sponsors.
- Administer contracts, review submittals, RFIs and change requests; ensure documentation is complete for permit, inspection and commissioning.
- Oversee commissioning, turnover and postoccupancy support, including punch lists, warranties and closeout documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare codes, lifesafety requirements, infection prevention, and facility policies throughout project lifecycle.
- Mentor and coordinate project staff and subcontractors; promote a collaborative, safety-first culture on site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in healthcare construction or hospital renovation projects.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
- Proven experience managing budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams on commercial or healthcare construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, infection control during construction, lifesafety systems and clinical workflows.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills; ability to present to executive leadership.
- Proficiency with project management practices; Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore is desirable.
- Familiarity with AIA contract formats and contract administration is a plus.
- Commitment to jobsite safety and quality assurance, with knowledge of OSHA and hospital safety protocols.
