Position Location Augusta, Georgia, Ft. Gordon Job Overview The Project Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and execution of the Fort Gordon Base Operations Support Services (BOSS) contract. The Project Manager serves as the Contractor's primary point of contact with the Government and provides strategic direction for contract operations, ensuring all services are performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable Army regulations, and company policies. This position oversees facilities maintenance, municipal services, environmental compliance, staffing, scheduling, contract administration, and performance management while promoting operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Provide centralized oversight and integration of facilities operations, engineering support, logistics, workforce management, safety, quality, finance, supply chain, human resources, and subcontracted functions. Direct day-to-day contract execution and establish operational priorities to achieve contractual and mission requirements. Allocate personnel, equipment, and resources to maintain operational continuity and service delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact with Government customers and stakeholders regarding operational coordination and issue resolution. Maintain workforce stability and continuity of key personnel while supporting employee engagement and retention efforts. Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual standards and performance expectations. Monitor operational performance metrics and maintain accountability for contract deliverables. Implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives to address deficiencies and improve performance outcomes. Lead transition and phase-in activities to support successful contract startup and continuity of operations. Coordinate risk management activities and establish mitigation strategies for operational, workforce, and performance concerns. Ensure compliance with safety, security, quality, and contractual requirements. Coordinate labor and workforce matters in accordance with applicable policies and contract Key Responsibilities: Overall contract execution and operational performance. Customer satisfaction and stakeholder relationship management. Workforce continuity and operational readiness. Achievement of contractual performance standards and operational metrics. Risk identification, mitigation, and corrective action implementation. Compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements Job Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Public Administration, or a related field; or a combination of education and demonstrated management experience that establishes the capability to successfully perform the duties of the position. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a large, multi-functional Base Operations Support Services (BOSS), Public Works, Facilities Management, or similar Government services contract. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and administering Government contracts. Experience with contract performance reporting, scheduling, and resource management. IBM Maximo and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience directing workforce planning activities and allocating resources to support operational objectives. Experience managing subcontractor performance and ensuring contract deliverables are achieved. Demonstrated experience leading transition, startup, and continuity of operations activities. Preferred: Experience supporting mission-critical operational environments. Experience managing emergency response operations and contingency execution. Previous experience supporting U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) or Directorate of Public Works (DPW) operations. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar facilities management credential. Experience supporting performance-based service contracts. Military or Federal installation support experience. Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills Working Conditions: This position operates within a professional office and active operational environment located at a CONUS military installation. The role requires routine interaction with Government leadership, military personnel, host nation representatives, subcontractors, and site personnel across multiple functional disciplines. Work is performed in both administrative and field environments and may require movement throughout the installation including operational facilities, maintenance areas, construction zones, logistics locations, and other controlled-access areas. The position supports a mission-critical operation requiring responsiveness outside normal business hours and availability during emergencies, exercises, contingency operations, surge events, inspections, and operational disruptions. Schedule flexibility is required to support a 24-hour operational environment and business continuity requirements. The work environment may include exposure to varying weather conditions, austere operating environments, elevated noise levels, and geographically isolated locations depending on mission requirements Physical Requirements: This position is primarily administrative in nature but requires the ability to routinely move throughout operational areas and customer locations. Must be able to walk extended distances across the installation, climb stairs, access work areas, and remain stationary for extended periods while conducting meetings, inspections, and oversight activities. Must be capable of operating standard office equipment and carrying work materials and portable equipment as required.
