Work supports many industries and structures including historic buildings, schools, universities, stadiums, churches, parking garages, commercial and office buildings, municipal and industrial facilities, water/waste‑water infrastructure, and more.
Primary purpose
Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. They plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources efficiently.
- Prepare and follow budgets based on scope of work, estimates, and resource requirements.
- Track project costs to meet budget targets.
- Manage detailed project schedules and work plans to track progress of each job.
- Create long‑ and short‑term plans, set milestone targets, and adhere to deadlines.
- Manage relationships with clients and architect groups.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Provide weekly project updates to BCR managers covering budgets, strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Monitor and measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct weekly job‑site visits to analyze labor, material, and equipment usage.
- Verify that project scope meets BCR’s standards and conforms to drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Degree in construction technology or related field is desired but not required.
- Experience in commercial or industrial construction.
- 3–5 years of experience in restoration (desired but not required).
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced team environment.
