About the Role
BJC is hiring for an onsite Project Manager position. Candidates with a clinical or healthcare background are preferred, and perioperative (Periop) experience is highly desirable.

The Perioperative Services team operates in a fast-paced environment that challenges professional judgment and critical thinking while fostering growth. Team members work with world-renowned surgeons and anesthesiologists, assist on unique and complex procedures, utilize the latest technologies, and contribute to developing new treatment protocols. Patients from across the nation and world seek care at Barnes-Jewish for its surgical specialties.
Role Purpose
Delivers business process improvements and workflow automation solutions to maximize service responsiveness, ensure high-quality information management, and provide cost-effective business solutions. Project assignments, team size, and duration vary based on the complexity of departmental support or strategic project needs.
Responsibilities
- Delivers written and oral presentations and evaluates issues and facts.
- Manages project sub-teams and structures work to meet all commitments.
- Serves as a partner to leadership, line managers, and employees to provide service and support across various functions.
- Designs and implements strategies and department operating plans to improve systems and services for the organization.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Supervisory experience.
